Joy Hopkins is passionate about creating access to technology that can bridge the educational and economic divide between the rich and poor. As a Global Chief Financial Officer, she has managed high-profile, multimillion-dollar businesses at companies ranging from international law firms to innovative technology giants, Intel Corporation, Lenovo, and Toshiba. She is recognized as an expert in change management and process excellence methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and Business Process Management.

Joy grew up in a diverse immigrant community in Providence, RI. Her exploration of international culture began at a young age and, in her adult life, has translated into a passion for international travel. She has lived, worked, and traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, South America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, and is now conversational in 5 languages. She is a sought-after guest speaker and has addressed several student and professional audiences in the US and abroad.

Joy graduated cum laude from Mount Holyoke College with a BA degree in International Relations and Statistics. She holds two master's degrees, an MBA in International Management and Finance from Boston College and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Michigan State University. She has also completed two graduate certificates, one in Doing Business in China from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and another in Serious Game Design from Michigan State University.
